By becoming a member of the Friends of the Lexington Main Library (FLML), you are becoming a change maker:

More than a donation
Your monthly membership is a way to contribute to amazing things that the Libraries are doing. As a friend, you are joining a community of volunteers passionate about growing library programs and advocating for our Libraries in Lexington. The Friends of the Lexington Main Library is led by a volunteer Board that meets on the third Thursday of every month. We welcome you to join us anytime to share your ideas, talents, and time.
YOUR MEMBERSHIP CAN BE ACTIVE!
Are you a big fan of Book Sales? Great! Will you help out in the weeks leading up to each sale? Do you prefer programs targeted at students? Great! We’d love your help with the Summer Reading Program. No matter your age or interest, we have somewhere for you to serve and make a difference.
Membership Perks
You are given a 10% Discount at the Friends Corner Gift Shop. All you have to do is show your membership card at the time of purchase.
You are invited to the Membership Breakfast. This is a fun morning where we enjoy a catered breakfast, celebrate you and the other volunteers, look back at the year’s accomplishments, and plan for upcoming successes.
You are given a vote on upcoming projects and the annual budget.

How does my membership work?
First, you decide you are ready to join. We’d love to have you join at the base membership fee, but we would be honored to accept a donation on top of your membership fee. We are serious about putting all funds to good use!
Second, you fill out the membership form.
Third, at the end of the form it will ask you which areas you’d like to volunteer with. Please note that these aren’t permanent decisions, but a great place to begin your involvement.
Lastly, pay your yearly membership fee and any additional donation you wish to make today.
After you join, you will be mailed your library card and may begin participating as a Friend.
We send out newsletters each month and emails to targeted groups. This is how you can stay up to date on all our events.

Option 2: Click on this link, download and print the Membership Form (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader). Complete the form; then return it with your dues to the Friends Corner or to the Circulation Desk at the Lexington Main Library.
